Letterbox Security

8th March

Residents should be aware that thieves have been opening and removing mail from the letterboxes. The Owners Corporation is investigating what measures can be taken, either by residents and/or the Owners Corporation, to improve security of mail in the letterboxes.

Planned Power Outages

8th March

Preventive maintenance work on the electrical supply to all individual lots is to take place on Thursday, 17th March and Friday, 18th March. On Thursday, 18th of March between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM there will be a power outage, lasting up-to one and a half hours resulting in no power supply to all units. Power to lifts, car park gates, mechanical plant, security systems and common area lighting will not be impacted.

During the afternoon of Thursday, 17th March and during the whole day on Friday, 18th March power to some individual units will be interrupted for a short period as part of a load balancing activity.

Letterbox Security

14th March

The Owners Corporation has investigated what measures can be taken, either by residents and/or the Owners Corporation, to improve security of mail in the letterboxes. The Executive Committee recommends owners retain a locksmith, or take their letterbox lock to a locksmith, and have it modified such that the Master Key capability is removed as well as have it re-keyed such that the key required to open the lock is different to the number stamped on the front of the lock.

Hornsby Locksmiths will undertake the work for $15.00 in their shop.

Removal and re-installation of the cam-lock from the letterbox requires no tools.

If you have had mail stolen from your letterbox the Executive Committee recommend you notify Hornsby Police, your banks and service providers.

Planned Power Outages Update

17th March

Preventive maintenance work on the electrical supply to all individual lots was completed today.

There will be no planned power outages tomorrow, Friday, 18th March.

Gutter Cleaning

18th April

Residents should note that the gutter cleaning contractor will be working on-site on Wednesday, 20th April from 8:00 AM.

Landlords to Pay for Rowdy Tenants

7th May

A recent New South Wales court decision found that landlords are responsible for the noise their tenants make. The court ruled the landlords were responsible because they could control who they leased the apartment to, for how long and, if necessary, make physical changes to the property to decrease noise.

Fire System Testing

31st May

ERMA will conduct fire system testing in the Common Areas on Thursday, 2nd June.

Security Card Audit

13th June

The annual audit of security swipe cards is currently in progress. Owners and residents must complete and return the audit form, recently distributed by mail, by Friday 24th June to ensure ongoing access.

2011 Census

29th July

The Owners Corporation has provided the appointed Australian Bureau of Statistics collector with swipe card access to the complex to allow the Census process to run. Alison Grealish will be active on-site in two phases, distribution and collection, between the 29th July and the 28th August.

Census night is the 9th August 2011.

August Executive Committee Meeting Cancelled

2nd August

The ECM scheduled for the 3rd August 2011 has been cancelled due to the work commitments of a number of committee members.

The next scheduled Executive Committee Meeting is on 7th September 2011, notification of this meeting will be distributed to all owners prior to the meeting.
